Kylie Minogue has revealed her parents are among the few people who don't constantly ask her when she plans to have kids.
Kylie Minogue's parents are among the few people who don't pressure her about having children.
The 43-year-old singer - who has been dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso for three years - is sick of people asking her when she plans on having kids but is grateful her parents aren't trying to force her to become a mother.
She told YOU magazine: "I hate the question, 'So when are you going to have children?' But amazingly I have never heard it from my mum or dad. They never put pressure on any of us. For a while it looked liked it would never happen for us all and then boom, boom, boom.
"The only answer I have is, 'If it happens for me - beautiful.' I'll have to wait and see. I love children and I love the thought of having a family. And Andres is really good with kids."
While Kylie hasn't ruled out having children in the future, for now she is content to dote on her nephews.
She said: "Don't get me started talking about my nephew. My brother Brendan's son Charlie is five now and his little brother James is two and Dannii's boy Ethan is one. They all came to see my show in Melbourne and I could see them from the stage. I kept looking over to see if they were still there."
Although Kylie calls herself a "serial monogamist", she admitted she is reluctant to settle down and tie the knot.
She explained: "I don't like to be boxed in. Maybe that feeling has affected my attitude to marriage. But it isn't about fearing a commitment - I am committed. I'm a serial monogamist and I have never run off. It's just that I need to be able to breathe."
Kylie Minogue finally feels like she is returning to normal after living in a "stranger's body" for five years since her cancer battle.
The Spinning Around singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 andunderwent surgery and chemotherapy to beat the disease.
She tells Britain's Glamour magazine, A lot of people have said to me recently, 'You're looking really well, back to your old self
She was given the all-clear the year after (06), but the singer admits she has struggled to get her body back to normal after the ravaging treatment.
She tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "A lot of people have said to me recently, 'You're looking really well, back to your old self.' I just need to get my fitness up. Then I'll almost be back in my own body. "I felt for such a long time that I was in a stranger's body".
Aussie popstar Kylie Minogue's sexy ad in stockings and suspenders has been voted as the best ever celeb viral advert.
According to online content distributor GoViral, the advert for underwear company Agent Provocateur has clocked up a whopping 350million hits on YouTube, reports The Sun.
Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho's Nike Crossbar Challenge ad came second in the list. The film shows him demonstrating apparently impressive skills by hitting the crossbar no less than four times, without the ball touching the floor. The clip has been viewed in excess of 50 million times.
US President Barack Obama's Yes We Can song, featuring Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, Scarlett Johansson and other stars came third with 32 million views. Nicole Kidman and Ozzy Osbourne were also among the celebrities to star in clips, which made up the Top 10.
Pop singer Kylie Minogue has her sights set on a career as a comedy actress.
The Aussie singer rose to fame in Australian day-time soap opera 'Neighbours' and has returned to her thespian roots several times throughout her career, with a cameo role in 2001's 'Moulin Rouge!' and on the small screen in a 'Dr. Who' Christmas special last year. She was recently tapped to appear in a new movie The Edge of Love by director John Maybury.
And now the singer is planning to go back to acting full time.
"I started out as an actress and I thought if I was lucky that would be my career. Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say ''You can't be a singer, you're an actress.'' Then they're saying, ''Well you're a singer, you can't be an actress," Contactmusic quoted Minogue, as saying.
"I hate that! If you're creative, there's no reason you shouldn't work in different mediums. Recording and being a performer, thankfully that's gone really well, but now I'm starting to think again about acting," she added.
And the 'Spinning Around' hit maker is convinced she has found her niche in comedy. "It's so much fun. It's where I come from so I'm very comfortable to go back to that. It's not that well known that I'm funny, but I am funny. People who know me will tell you," she said.
