Actor Brad Pitt is said to be in talks for the lead role in the upcoming movie The Gray Man, which is based on f Mark Greaney's novel. According to reports, the Hollywood star wants to play a CIA agent-turned-elite assassin in New Regency's new project. He is said to start filming soon after finishing World War Z.
Earlier this year, Brad Pitt was named as the possible candidate for the leading man, but the reports were shot down later. Sources claim that the actor was not to sign the project as his partner Angelina Jolie did not to work simultaneously. But now, he is about to finish the filming for World War Z. So he is in negotiation for the hero role in the movie The Gray Man.
Adam Cozad has been roped in to adapt the Mark Greaney's thriller novel for the big screen. Pitt's Plan B partner Dede Gardner will serve as a producer along with Stephen Garrett of Shine. The story revolves around a CIA agent-turned-elite assassin, who is on the run when his last job goes bad. While dodging the forces, who are out to get him, he has to keep his family safe.
However, Brad Pitt has earlier acted in New Regency's Fight Club and The Gray Man will be his second movie under the banner. He is currently shooting for World War Z. After finishing it, he is expected to take up this new project.
She is one of the highest paid actresses in the world but Angelina Jolie says she doesn't love acting as much as she used to. The 36-year-old star, who raises six children with longtime partner Brad Pitt, said she enjoys playing the role of a mother more now, reported Us magazine.
"I don't love acting as much as I did. I love being a mom. I've never not been grateful to be an actor. But I think when I was younger I needed [acting] more. I was trying to question things in life so you find these characters that help you find things and grow.
"I'm older and I know who I am... and I'm less interested in the character helping me answer something... than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family," Jolie said.
Her directorial debut 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' is a love story she also wrote, which is set in the Bosnian war.
"I prefer being behind the camera to acting. I think I've learnt something from all of the directors I've worked with even the ones I didn't like... I also learned a lot from Clint Eastwood about how to appreciate the members of the crew, empowering them to do their job," she added.
But Jolie doesn't plan to stay in the business forever.
"As Brad and I get older we're going to do fewer films. I've been working for a long time, he's been working for a long time. We've had a nice run and I don't want to be doing this our whole lives. There are a lot of other things to do," Jolie said.

Meanwhile, the reports also indicated that Olivia Wilde would essay the role of Lara Croft in the film. But in a recent interview with MTV, the actress has denied the reports. She said, As far as I know right now, I'm not playing Lara Croft. No. That's really cool that people think I should play her. That's nice of them."
However, with the hiring of Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby as script writers, the Tomb Raider reboot is moving an inch closer to realization. Graham King's GK Films acquired the film rights. King has planned produce the movie with Tim Headington and release it in 2013.

Actor Johnny Depp has revealed how he was attacked by actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolies pet bulldog, which he had agreed to look after, while the couple went out for a romantic dinner.
Depp, 47, agreed to look after 12-and-a-half stone pet pooch Jacques while the couple went out at the time his and Jolies latest movie The Tourist was being filmed.
Foolishly I was persuaded to look after Jacques for a night. Hes a huge bulldog. At first I had a terrible feeling, because Jacques smelt horrible, the Sun quoted him as saying.
But then I told myself, Come on, you will survive one night. Everything was cool - until I sat down on the bed to take my shoes off. Jacques pounced on me from behind and kept jumping around on me. Hes not small. Around 175lbs of dog was hurled at me, which felt like about 300lbs. I shouted for help and luckily someone came to take that beast off me, he added.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $150,000 to a children's charity.
The couple gave the sum to SOS Children's Villages, USA - which supports adoptive families and highlights the needs of children without parental care - in recognition of National Adoption Day through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
Dr. Heath Paul, CEO of SOS Children's Villages, USA, said: "I am truly thankful that Angelina and Brad understand the power of family - the kind of stable family that SOS holds as an essential part of healthy child development.
Together, Angelina and Brad have been eye-witnesses to the great work of SOS Children's Villages in Ethiopia, Jordan, a Darfur refugee camp in Chad and Haiti. Angelina and Brad know that children's need for a family is universal.
The donation from the couple - who have adopted three children, Maddox, nine, Pax, six, and Zahara, five, as well as three other kids, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - will provide the long-term financial support needed for a family of four foster children in one of the US SOS Children's Villages.
Last year, the couple donated $100,000 to two of the organisation's centres in Florida and Illinois after being impressed by their work.
Angelina said of the generous gift: "We have seen firsthand the remarkable job SOS does to raise orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together. No one 'ages out' of an SOS Village: vocational training, advanced education, living assistance and moral support are there forever."
The SOS Villages house over 200 children and last Christmas Brad insisted it was important to show gratitude for the work the organisation does.
He said: "In this holiday season, many of us take for granted that we are surrounded by loving family members. The poor outcomes for foster children indicate that we must do a much better job of supporting them."
It was revealed last year Brad and Angelina donated $6.8 million to charity in 2008 after raising the money through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is out of trouble now. The actress' directorial debut 'Romeo and Juliette', parts of which were supposed to be shot at Bosnia, was been stalled for non-completion of legal documents.
However, the latest reports suggest that work on the film can begin as Angelina Jolie has received the much-needed permit and will now be able to film in Bosnia.
Romeo and Juliette tells the story of a Bosnian Muslim woman in love with a Serb with the Bosnian War as the backdrop of the movie. As the story progresses, the woman is shown being raped by her lover. The trouble for the Angelina Jolie starrer began when Bakira Hasecic, a rape victim during the War and the President of the Women Victims of War Association situated in Sarajevo lodged a complaint with the ministry of Bosnia speaking against the content of the film. It was Angelina Jolie herself, who took the responsibility of clearing all doubts and erasing the offense that anyone may have felt after watching her film.
A representative from the sets of Romeo and Juliette says that not only the rape but also the love story between the Bosnian and the Serb will be shown in the film, in fact it is the love that they share that ultimately leads to the condemnation that the man inflicts upon the woman. According to the latest reports, the ministry of Bosnia seems to have understood the storyline and have agreed to issue a working permit to Angelina Jolie. The filming will begin in late November.

When Aniston got a letter from Jolie |
Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston was shocked when she once received a letter from actress Angelina Jolie. According to reports, Jolie, who raises six children with Anistons ex-husband Brad Pitt, decided to reach out to her in an attempt to put an end to their long-running feud.
"Angelina doesnt want any more bad energy in her life and she hates the hostility that exists between her and Jen," showbizspy.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
"Its taken her a very long time to work up the courage, but shes coming from a good place and genuinely wants to put the past behind them," the source said.
"It may seem crazy, but for those of us who actually know Angelina, it really isnt all that surprising. Shes an unpredictable character, so for her to reach out to Jen like this is just the sort of behavior shes known for."
"In the note, Angie tells Jen that she would make a wonderful mother and that shes at the perfect age and time of her life to have her first child. Whats more, Brad is fully behind her. Hes so proud of Angie for reaching out to Jen," the source added.
The source further said that when Aniston opened Jolie's note, she was "beyond shocked. I think she suspected at first that it must have been sent as some kind of a prank."
"Still, when Jen realised Angies letter was sincere and genuine, she actually went from shocked to being impressed. Being a mature person, Jen must have recognized how much of an effort it was on Angies part to have gone through with the letter," the source added.
Angelina Jolie "doesn't have many friends" so relies on her partner Brad Pitt when she wants to talk.
The actress is currently in Pakistan, having travelled to the country to help raise money following the devastating floods in the country.
Angelina is a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and was keen to help those left homeless by the natural disaster.
The star gave a satellite interview to CNN to discuss the role, in which she admitted it can be a lonely one. Angelina raises six kids with Brad, and hates being away from her family for long periods of time.
"I'll talk to my family," she replied, when asked how she copes with the solitude. "I talk to Brad, he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He's been here as well; he came with me after the earthquake. But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to."
Although she misses them, Angelina explained her kids are well aware of why she has gone away. She ensures they always understand why she is going to other countries to help, and hopes that gives them global awareness. Three of the children are adopted, and both Brad and Angelina are adamant they must learn about their homelands.
"I tell my children why I'm going and I explain to them why I was packing flashlights and food. They help me pack some things," she explained to interviewer Sanjay Gupta.
"My children are from a lot of these countries, so I want them to understand what's happening in Africa, the boys to understand what's happening if there's something current in their countries, and for all of them to know about each other's countries as well."
Angelina's nine-year-old son Maddox is from Cambodia, Pax, six, comes from Vietnam and five-year-old Zahara was born in Ethiopia. Her other kids are Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says she's always been naturally slim and doesn't really need to workout.
"I really don't workout. I've always been kind of slight and I've always loved to run and jump around and be physical, so action roles are not a huge challenge for me. I enjoy them," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.
Jolie revealed that during filming the first "Tomb Raider" movie, she was given a special diet plan to make her feel healthier.
"It was such a challenge physically. A special diet also helped me shape my body. I ate steamed sea bass or steamed beef and vegetables and I had no sugar and only drank soy milk.
"I'm all for curves on a woman and feeling sexy. I never felt healthier or stronger than during the filming of this movie," she added.
Angelina Jolie is giving the readers of Vanity Fair magazine a sexy treat by appearing in a raunchy photo spread in the upcoming issue of the magazine. The Tomb Raider star not only graces the cover, she will be seen smoky-eyed and sexy inside the magazine's August issue in a series of steamy photos by Patrick Demarchelier
And in an interview to the publication, the 33-year-old actress assured that, contrary to tabloid reports, there's no trouble in paradise for Brangelina. "I feel fortunate to have a relationship where I actually feel safe enough to imagine growing old together," the New York Post quoted her as saying of her pairing with Brad Pitt, 46.
In fact, she is not even a bit put off by Pitt's cringe-inducing scraggly beard. "I love Brad in every state," she insisted. The mother of six also gushed about her latest action flick, Salt, saying she was pleased with tweaks to the script. Her role was originally intended for a male, Tom Cruise-type lead. "We made her meaner than a guy, and dirty. It's the Chihuahua up against the big dogs," said Jolie.
Johnny Depp's long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis has banned him from shooting a passionate love scene with The Tourist co-star Angelina Jolie, it has emerged.
French singer Paradis, who has two kids with the actor, is not comfortable with Depp's impending love scene, according to the New York Post.
"Infact, Paradis has told Depp to find another gig," reports the Daily Telegraph.
"Paradis found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between Depp and Jolie," a source close to the project said.
In the film, Jolie plays an Interpol agent who seduces a tourist, played by Depp, in order to flush out a criminal she slept with in the past.
Angelina Jolie seems to be breaking up all the concepts that have been on peoples minds regarding their relationships.
In a recent interview that she gave to a German magazine, she came out with an explosive theory of her own, something that is not likely to be echoed in many quarters: that it is not important to be absolutely loyal to ones partner in order to maintain a perfect relationship.
When asked if she maintained her relationship with Brad Pitt based on that principle, the Changeling and Tomb Raider star commented that she did not believe in restricting anyones life on the basis of some principle. She feels that it is important to provide ample space to ones partner, even if that extends to compromising on ones fidelity. She claims that though she has been in a pretty long relationship with Brad Pitt, they have never encroached on each others personal space.
It is normal and even healthy, to have occasional arguments with ones partner, believes the actress who is rumored to have a notorious temper. It is worse to break up and then slander ones partner than to be an infidel, according to the attractive brunette.
She does not believe that being in a relationship means that they have to be bound to each other all the time, and that it is okay to wander now and then. This sort of explains why, despite being dogged by numerous rumors of being on the verge of splitting, the couple has been going strong over the years. The secret, as can be gleaned from Angelina Jolies candid confession, lies in their open relationship.
Angelina Jolie waged "a mean-spirited but effective campaign" against Jennifer Aniston when Brad Pitt divorced the Friends star to be with her, according to a new book.
Titled Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the tell-all has revealed that Jolie, 34, planted press stories in 2005 that painted Aniston in a negative ight.
Author Ian Halperin said that other helping the Tomb Raider star in scheming the press attack included her manager Geyer Kosinski and brother James Haven.
And the stories specifically claimed that Aniston firmly prioritised her career over starting a family -- which put her directly at odds with Pitt, who ached for kids.
Jolie, "was convinced that this is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man-stealing bitch, Us magazine quoted Halperin as saying in the book.
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie proved shes still as sexy as she was before giving birth to her twins when she flaunted her post-baby bod in her new film wearing just lingerie.
Jolie started shooting for her new film Salt just six months after giving birth to the twins Knox and Vivienne and the revealing scenes show the actress has managed to regain her flat stomach after the pregnancy.
In the new trailer, released online this week, Jolies character is briefly seen in her underwear.
With her head out of camera shot, the 34-year-old is seen walking towards a bed wearing an open dressing gown, which reveals her black bra and knickers, reports the Courier Mail.
There are speculations that she may have hired a body double, however the tattoos on her waistline reveal its Jolie.
The new film stars Jolie as a CIA agent Evelyn Salt who is forced to go on the run after she is accused of being a Russian sleeper spy.
Actor George Clooney has jokingly said that hes planning to adopt some of Brad Pitts kids. The 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' actor, who has no kids of his own, has claimed that he owes Pitt a favour and is willing to help out with his six children.
"I am planning to adopt. I am going to adopt some of Brad Pitt's kids. I owe him," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. Previously, the actor revealed that he has no plans to become a father, but spends time with Brad and his partner Angelina Jolie and their kids whenever he feels lonely.
"Even one kid running around my villa makes me nervous, so I'm definitely not a candidate for father of the year.
If I need to surround myself with children and feel like I have this big extended family, I can always call Brad and Angelina and ask them to stay with me, just to remind myself why I'm so happy," he said.
Angelina Jolie is to star in 'The Tourist'.
The 'Changeling' actress is reportedly in talks to take over the lead role in the thriller after Charlize Theron pulled out.
This will not be the first casting change to affect the movie.
Tom Cruise was originally slated to appear but has now been replaced by 'Terminator Salvation' actor Sam Worthington.
The movie - a remake of 2005 French thriller 'Anthony Zimmer' - follows a female Interpol agent who manipulates an American tourist into helping her catch an international criminal who is also her ex-lover.
The project is also looking for a new director after filmmaker Bharat Nalluri dropped out last week.
Julian Fellows, Bill Wheeler and Chris McQuarrie are penning the script for the remake.
Starving for food, hungry for love and desperate for fame, the heavyweights of the Kiwi gossip trade have gone all Hollywood.
New Zealand's tabloid magazines have opted for celebrity fodder from further afield this week with an emaciated Victoria Beckham, eternal singleton Jennifer Aniston and irritating earth mother Angelina Jolie taking centre stage.
Woman's Day posts a skeletal Beckham cloaked in a purple sheath on its front cover. Praying mantis-like Posh has apparently shocked onlookers - yet again - with her frighteningly thin frame.
But don't worry, Beckham reveals she doesn't really have a eating disorder.
"I was never anorexic, I was never bulimic, but I was probably very close to it.
"I could tell you the fat content and calorie content of absolutely anything. I was obsessed. I began living on vegetables and nothing else. I used to chop up bowls of spinach and carrots and steam them or I'd just eat peas."
Phew, as long as you're eating peas you must be doing okay.
Elsewhere, the picture editor at New Idea must have shrieked with glee when she first spied this week's cover shot: Everyone's favourite girl next door, Jennifer Aniston, is spotted crying in public.
Luckily NI is here to tell us what prompted the outburst. Evidently Aniston has now reached "the lowest point in her personal life" and is struggling after being left on the shelf by legions of leading men.
"I'm not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. If I'm the emblem for 'This is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life'', so be it", Aniston said.
The mag reveals that in 2005 Aniston said: "There's an amazing man wandering the streets right now who's the father of my children. In five years time, I'd hope to be married and have a kid."
NI brings her crashing back to earth. "Sadly, four years on, the dream is still eluding her", the magazine intones.
The mag sounds like a grandmother in a bad mood.
Over at Woman's Weekly Aniston's famous foe Angelina Jolie is "starved for love". She's probably just starving for some carbohydrates.
This perpetual hunger has allegedly been kick-started by her man hunk Brad Pitt's waning love for her.
Pitt told reporters that "children ... wasn't really what I was seeking" and his life with Jolie had its "aggravations and irritations".

And this week's local cringe inducing story has to go to NI's exclusive "shock confession" from TVNZ broadcaster Paul Henry.
Henry confesses his "love" for former adversary, ex-Prime Minister Helen Clark, and shares the romantic details of the day he and Clark spent together in the Big Apple.
The pair went to the Statue of Liberty, wore matching foam hats, shared burgers at a diner and went to an off-Broadway play before devouring a pizza over a "few bottles" of red wine, Henry told NI.
"She bought me a ticket to the play and we had most extraordinary conversations during the intermission, and then over pizza afterwards. It was a wonderful night"
Um does Clark's hubby Peter know about this?
Finally, the quote of the week comes from former Spice Girl turned aerobics instructor Mel B.
The mother of two began slimming down for the US Dancing with the Stars show which somehow led to her releasing a range of exercise videos.
But Mel B says her "amazing shape" is due to another kind of workout - having sex with her husband Stephen Belafonte five times a day.
"I'm a nymphomaniac. It's all-over body conditioning, after all."
There is such a thing as TMI, Mel.
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie suffered a fashion nightmare on July 16 when her dresses were stolen from her stylist.
The "Tomb Raider" actress' dresser Jennifer Rade was collecting classic pieces for Jolie to wear during the promotion of her upcoming movie "Salt" but three boxes of designer clothing were swiped from Rade last week in unknown circumstances, reports imdb.com.
"Every designer who was sending pieces was trying to send their best stuff. Angelina was just starting the fitting process for pieces to wear when she begins promoting 'Salt'," said a source.
