While many British celebrities will be braving the rainy streets of London tonight to welcome in the New Year, there's one star who decided to see in 2012 in style - by jetting off on a sunshine break to Mauritius.

Pixie Lott couldn't have looked any happier as she basked in the sunshine with her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire while enjoying a dip in the sea.

The 20-year-old singer showed off her tanned and toned figure in a sexy bandeau bikini , teaming her two-piece with a patterned headscarf and sunglasses.

Bouncing around from venue to studio to public appearance every night has obviously worked wonders for her figure, with Pixie flaunting a flat stomach without an inch to pinch.

And the Essex-born singer is clearly excited about seeing in the New Year, writing on her Twitter page this afternoon: 'Thank you cats for an incredible year i'm so happy and excited for 2012 wowoowp lets make it fab! You all deserve it! Happy New Year.'

Pixie and Oliver, who have been dating since August 2010, later dried off during a stroll on the sand.

Oliver, who has worked for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Paul Smith, showed off his model physique in a pair of shorts that showcased his perfectly shaped obliques.

The couple have remained relatively coy in the build up to their holiday, with Oliver simply tweeting on Wednesday: 'Bags packed and off for some winter sun!! See ya l8err little dudes'

Pixie appeared to tweet from the beach, addressing her 750,000 followers: 'I love you catsss (sic) what's crakalakinn.'

In a recent interview, she revealed she would be recycling her New Year's resolution from 2011.

She told Star: 'My New Year�s resolution for this year was to learn to drive and pass my test and that hasn�t happened yet, so if that doesn�t happen this year I will probably carry that one next year.'
